Reports From DS 6.9

At last, reporting is now available directly from Symantec's Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 using DS eXpress Tools from eXprescient. The DS database has a lot of valuable inventory information as well as information regarding job status. Some of this information has been indirectly accessible through the use of DS filters, but most of it has not been available. DS has thin client data which is very difficult retrieve using the standard DS capabilities. DS also contains subnet information, but there has been no way to create jobs, filters, or run jobs based on subnet information.

Available Reports

• Inventory reports can be easily extracted from DS by selecting various columns to display and by using filters to select sub-sets of the available data.
• Status reports show who ran DS jobs and when, or on what machines a job was run during a given timeframe.
