The story of eXprescient Inc. begins with the story of Altiris Deployment Solution. Over ten years ago, two engineers sat down in a room together to discuss ideas for a product that would meet the needs of managing the complexities of the business PC. These two engineers were told to stay clear of the "big boy" management tools and yet they could see that the big boys just didn't understand the complexities of PC management in the IT administrator's day to day activities.

About fifteen months later, Altiris eXpress was released with the best and easiest to use PC Lifecycle Management capablilities on the market - from bare metal deployment, to re-purposing, to retirement. Altiris eXpress quickly garnered a dedicated following of creative customers. After some significant enhancements to add server deployment and server specific features, Altiris eXpress was rebranded as Altiris Deployment Solution.

Today, Symantec's Altiris Deployment Solution is showing its age, and some of the most requested features are still missing. So in April, 2009, eXprescient, Inc. was formed with the vision of enhancing the capabilities of Altiris Deployment Solution.

The founders of eXprescient, Inc. have nearly 45 years of experience in the computer software and software as a service industries. Ten of those years are directly related to Altiris Deployment Solution so it was a natural fit to look a the DS product and fill some of the holes in the traditional product.

The IT world is changing and companies must change to meet the new demands and restrictions that are coming. eXprescient is committed to helping small and medium businesses as well as all current users of DS 6.9, to improve their IT processes cost-effectively manage their IT resources.
